the night before
flying from new york
half asleep on the subway
new shoes
biking through the dirt
you invite me over to your room and i cant believe
im walking beside you
past les girls a cowboy scent of texas
nerver felt like i belonged here
but i really couldn’t tell you why
all i know is that the moment i stepped out
was the first time i felt alive in all my life
took the elevator from the outside of the hotel
never seen something quite like it
i enter and see the two beds
its heat its warm
i see all your little items that show someone is
present and been there before
we sit in our beds and just talk
“how do you know you’re alive”
“what makes the stars twinkle in the sky?”
